In the fall of 2019, the Village entered into an agreement with Active Trans to undertake an update to the Village’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan. The forward-looking plan provides detailed steps towards potential improvements to biking, walking, and transit infrastructure within the Village. Opportunities to create safe connections to important destinations in the Village, with an emphasis on access to various business corridors, downtowns, local parks, and schools is included in the proposed update along with the input from the Village’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee.
