Community Clean-Up Day Set for Oct. 3

The Village's third-annual Community Clean Up Day with Lakeshore Recycling Systems will take place next Saturday.

The Village’s third-annual Community Clean Up Day with Lakeshore Recycling Systems will take place on Saturday, October 3rd. Residents of single-family homes will have the option of disposing of an unlimited amount of refuse and household debris by placing it curbside for pick up. To participate, a resident must affix stickers to the first five items set out for disposal. Additional items placed out with the stickered items and containers will be picked up without charge. For those with subscription cart service, no stickers are required to participate. Items can be placed at the curb after the Wednesday, September 30th regular pick up. Please note mattresses and box springs need to be completely sealed in plastic wrap for disposal and appliances of any sort will not be accepted.

This event helps kick off National Fire Prevention Week, which seeks to raise awareness around fire safety. Visit firepreventionweek.org for more information on how you can help prevent fires.
