Contamination Found in Lisle Wells
Some private wells in Lisle have been found contaminated. The DuPage County Health Department is recommending private-well users have their wells disinfected.

The following is a press release from the Village of Lisle website:
The DuPage County Health Department conducted preliminary testing of private wells in Lisle due to the vast amount of rain and recent flooding. The results indicated some well water was contaminated with bacteria.
The Health Department is recommending that all Lisle residents with a private well who live in the areas affected by flooding have their well disinfected and then tested to ensure the water is safe prior to using it for drinking and cooking.
Health Department staff will be in Lisle this week distributing water sample bottles and instructions for well disinfection to homeowners. Water samples can be dropped off at the DuPage County Health Department Central Office located at 111 N. County Farm Road in Wheaton between 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM Monday through Friday.
DuPage County Health Department staff will also set up a testing station in the Village Hall parking lot at 925 Burlington Avenue to accept samples of water between 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM Monday through Friday beginning Friday, April 26, 2013 and ending Friday, May 10, 2013.
Please share this information with people who may not yet have access to important flood updates. For more information, contact the DuPage County Health Department at (630) 221-7500.
