Dance Academy Registration Open; Home Sought for Cockatiel

Here’s some of what’s going on in and around Lisle for Friday, Aug. 9: 

·      Lisle’s Contempo Dance Academy is holding in-person registration for new students and existing students at 4723 Main Street, Lisle, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., as well as on Saturday from noon to 3:00 p.m. Find more information on the Academy’s website.

·      Lisle’s All Pet Pantry is looking for a home for Hawkye, “a very friendly and talkative cockatiel that was found as a stray and is now looking for a new forever home.” He and other pets are available for adoption at 4910 Main St., Lisle.

·      I-88 Corporate are holding an evening Relay for Life from 6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Friday evening at 2200 Cabot Drive, Lisle. “The Relay brings together friends, family, businesses, hospitals, schools, churches and community organizations… all with the goal of finding a cure for cancer!” Attend, form a team, sponsor or help fundraise.
