Destination Asia Brings Bonsai Workshops, Traditional Music, More To Morton Arboretum
The two-day event will be held Aug. 2 and Aug. 3.
LISLE, IL — The Morton Arboretum will host Destination Asia Aug. 2 and Aug. 3, highlighting music, art, dance and other aspects of Asian culture. The event also features bonsai workshops and will have food trucks onsite.
The two-day event's featured performances include sumo wrestling, traditional Asian music and J-pop dance tunes. A bonsai show will be held by the Prairie State Bonsai Society, giving attendees a chance to see bonsai trees in different stages of growth and curation. Some of the trees are several years old.
Bonsai workshops will also be available to impart the art of bonsai styling. The workshops schedule is as follows.
