Reward your taste buds, save money by growing your own veggies from seeds

Nothing tastes better than a tomato you grew yourself.

Andrew Nordstrom, an account executive with Shemin Landscape Supply and former owner of South View Horticulture, a residential design and build landscape company, will be the featured speaker during “Lunch with Landscapers” from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. on Friday, March 16 on the second floor of the Krasa Student Center at Benedictine University.

Nordstrom, who studied horticulture while earning a bachelor’s degree from Western Illinois University, has experience in nursery management, greenhouse production, retail garden center management, lawn care and landscape installment. He will talk about how residents can save money by starting their own plants from seeds.

The free event, which is open to the public and includes lunch, is sponsored by the Office of Campus Services at Benedictine University.
