In commemoration of Independence Day, this year's 4th of July Parade will begin at 11 a.m. from Lisle Junior High, near Main and Jonquil, will proceed north on Main Street to School Street, east to Center Avenue and south to Village Hall.
There will be a bike decorating contest for children 12 and under prior to the parade. Participants need to meet in front of the school for judging by 10:45 a.m.
Following the parade, the Lisle Heritage Society will host an ice-cream social on the grounds of the Museums at Lisle Station Park just north of Village Hall. Enjoy ice cream, the museum buildings and grounds, and visit with neighbors and friends.
