Hearing on Dunkin' Donuts/Baskin-Robbins Drive-Through Wednesday Night

Stuff going on in and around Lisle for Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013.

Here’s some of what’s going on in and around Lisle for Wednesday, Aug. 21: 

·      A meeting of Lisle’s Planning and Zoning Commission will be held Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. at Village Hall (925 Burlington Avenue,) including a public hearing on a “Special Use Permit for a drive-through for Dunkin Donuts and Baskin-Robbins.” Find the complete agenda here.

·      Wednesday night is the final “Wednesdays, Woods and Wine” event at the Morton Arboretum, featuring the band Midnight (“performing at hundreds of clubs, fests, social events and weddings in the Chicago area since 1979.”) Tickets are $10 for members, $15 for non-members. The event runs from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

·      The Lisle nonfiction book group are meeting at the Lisle library at 7:00 p.m. to discuss “Extra Virginity: The Sublime and Scandalous World of Olive Oil.” “If you think olive oil is just something to put in salad dressing, this book will definitely open your eyes! The author takes us through the history of olive oil, but brings us right up into the present-day, with all of the economic, and taste, factors involved in olive oil production and sales. Please join us for our discussion of this enlightening read!”
