Lisle man sentenced to 7 years in prison for seeking sex with underage girls

The man was one of seven people arrested in an Aurora prostitution sting

William Shyu, a 32-year-old from Lisle, was sentenced to seven years of prison for traveling to Aurora and paying for what he thought would be a sexual encounter with two girls, according to the Beacon-News and the Daily Herald. Shyu paid $100 to have 30 minutes of sexual favors, but was instead arrested by Aurora Police and officers from Homeland Security Investigations.

Shyu faced 30 years in prison, but agreed to a plea deal. His sentence could be reduced by three and a half years for good behavior.

Kane County Circuit Judge John Barsanti ordered Shyu, who is currently free on bail, to begin his sentence on January 6.
