Lisle's DuPage African Methodist Episcopal Church Earns Design Award

The Association of Licensed Architects in Palatine has announced the winners of the 14^th Annual Design Awards.

A total of 32 projects were awarded for exceptional design in categories that included residential, commercial, institutional, religious, renovation and interior.

The DuPage African Methodist Episcopal Church Chapel and Administration Building in Lisle was one of the winning projects done by Harding Parners, Chicago.

“This year’s award-winning firms showed superior site planning and exceptional attention to detail,” said Joanne Sullivan, ALA executive director. “The institutional and commercial buildings, in particular, showcased some beautifully simple, yet functional designs.”

Winning projects ranged from schools and churches to an exhibit for Chicago’s Adler Planetarium to the headquarters for a well-known consumer brand.
