Mondschean runs Soccer Shots for Southern Dupage County and has recently expanded in Lisle. The Soccer Shots program includes 40 structured lessons targeted at kids ages 2-8 years, that teach the sport’s terminology and basic skills through creative games and field time. The Soccer Shots program aims to get kids moving, ultimately seeking to combat childhood obesity by offering programs to daycare students that teach them the fundamentals of soccer. Also, the program is non-competitive, which helps the children learn to work with each other and rely on teamwork, which helps build on social skills necessary for childhood development.
