Mayor Broda: 'Witnessing Action' in Lisle Community, 'Excited'
The mayor published a column Wednesday with an optimistic look towards two new Lisle housing developments.

Freshly reelected Lisle mayor Joseph J. Broda published a column on the Suburban Life website on Wednesday, pledging that the post-election season was "off to a good start" in the Village, with positive economic signs locally despite Illinois' continuing financial issues.
In particular, Broda highlights two upcoming housing developments in the Village: KHovanian's 162 homes west of Benedictine at the former Meijer site, and Opus' 300-plus apartment Arboretum Landmark in the Warrenville Road corridor.
"Both of these projects signal good things in the near future," Broda writes in the paper. "Interest in the downtown for a mixed use redevelopment project is also showing signs of new life... This activity bodes well for our community as it represents investment in quality housing and human infrastructure to support our business community.
