Naperville Mom Accused of Pulling a Gun on 2 'Repo Men'

The men were trying to take her 2006 minivan.

She didn’t get far, as police stopped her near her apartment complex, reports the Naperville Sun, and now she faces several charges: misdemeanor aggravated assault using a deadly weapon, possession of an invalid firearm owner’s identification card, disorderly conduct, disregarding a stop sign, failure to signal and failure to have a child safety seat in the van.

Police said Katherine Reccord, of the 400 block of East Bailey Road, pulled a loaded 9 mm handgun on the men, who called 911, on Tuesday evening at about 7:30 p.m. as they went after her 2006 Chrysler Town and Country van.

“I just didn’t really believe what was going on.”
