Pickleball Courts, Walking Track: Lisle To Consider Indoor Recreation
The park district launched its Indoor Recreation Feasibility Study in February and will hold community meetings to get input from residents.
LISLE, IL — The Lisle Park District recently launched an Indoor Recreation Feasibility study as part of an initiative to evaluate what a new indoor recreation facility might bring to the village.
Residents expressed an interest in indoor recreation options, including pickleball courts and a walking track, when the park district garnered community feedback for its 2023 Master Plan.
Per the master plan, 30 percent of survey respondents expressed that they would support their tax dollars being used to help fund more indoor recreation options. Overall, 60 percent of participants said they would be "very supportive" of initiatives for new or expanded indoor recreation facilities in Lisle.

The goal is to review the feasibility study results and community feedback by September and use the information to determine what steps the park district should take next.
Garvy said, "Every day our [Lisle Park District] team sees firsthand the positive impact our parks, programs, facilities, and events have on those who use our services, and we are all eager to learn if the community is interested in expanding the opportunities we can make available for them."
