LISLE, IL — Lisle residents are encouraged to get their trash and recycling bins to the curb by 6 a.m. to avoid delayed pickup amid possible snow Wednesday morning, according to an update from village officials.

Lakeshore Recycling Systems advises the following to help make for smooth refuse collection Wednesday morning.

  • Remove snow and salt paths near trash and recycling bins
  • Remove snow from bins to make sure they can be seen
  • Put bins somewhere that is flat and easily accessible
  • Keep bin lids secured to avoid refuse blowing in the wind or snow getting in

A winter storm watch is in effect for much of the Chicagoland area between 9 a.m. Wednesday and 3 a.m. Thursday. The forecast calls for snow, sleet and freezing rain, with possible accumulations of six inches.
