TIF District Proposed For Lisle East Ogden Avenue
The joint review board will weigh in on a proposal to create a tax increment financing district to further develop the area.
LISLE, IL — Lisle's joint review board will weigh in on a proposal to create a tax increment financing district that comprises 73 acres on Ogden Avenue bounded by Lacey Avenue, the Lisle Metra stop and I-355. The aim of the proposal is to spur redevelopment in the area. The advisory meeting is set for May 13 at 3 p.m.
Per village documents, the proposed TIF district includes 17 acres of unoccupied lots, along with 13 right-of-way acres and 43 acres earmarked for redevelopment.
A TIF district is also proposed for Lincoln Avenue/IL-53. This area comprises 18 buildings and a total of 53 parcels, 17 of which are vacant, per village documents. The joint review board is set to hold an advisory meeting on the proposed Lincoln Avenue TIF redevelopment area on June 19.
