Time Nearing for Branch Collections
The village of Lisle will pick up branches placed on the curbs in front of single-family residences starting Sept. 12 for three weeks.

Village crews will hit the streets of Lisle in September to collect branches, for the second and final time this year. All incorporated single-family homes are eligible for this free program.
Here are the rules to follow.
Residents who participate must bundle branches into 5-foot lengths and tie bundles with twine or rope (no wire ties). Bundles should weigh less than 50 pounds each. Vines, root material and dirt, thorny branches, as well as bags of landscape materials (leaves, grass clippings, timber) will not be collected.

Public Works has established a branch pickup schedule for residents. Branches will be picked up north of the Burlington Northern train tracks the week of Sept. 12; between the Burlington Northern train tracks and Maple Avenue the week of Sept. 19; and south of Maple Avenue the week of Sept. 26.
Branches should be stacked neatly, placed in the front parkway by 7 a.m. on the Monday of the scheduled pickup week, with the cut ends toward the street. Residents are encouraged to place branches for pickup only during the scheduled week in their area. Public Works crews will not be dispatched to homes after branches have been collected in a designated area.
