Train Station Tunnel, Main Street Underpass Improvement Work Begins Today

Beginning today, the village of and its contractor will begin maintenance work on the commuter station's underground pedestrian tunnel as well as the Main Street railroad underpass, which is located between Burlington Avenue and Front Street.

Both restoration projects include the removal and replacement of deteriorated tunnel ceiling panels.

Officials said work should be complete by the end of August.

Officials said the traveling public should expect some delays in this area during the work, however, tunnels will remain open to pedestrian traffic.
