Village Of Lisle: Infrastructure Investments Position Village For Future

The Village’s annual sewer rehabilitation program makes targeted investments in this critical system to extend its life and ensure proper functioning. The program consists of cleaning and lining sanitary sewers that have been identified as in need of maintenance based upon televising work completed last year. This spring, sewer lining work will occur on Abbeywood Drive, Burlington Avenue, Dorset Avenue, Fender Road, Fernwood Drive, and Walnut Creek Lane.

Sewer lining repairs pipes through the insertion of epoxy-saturated tubing that is then cured in place. The installation of sewer liners stabilizes and seals compromised sewer pipes and eliminates ground water intrusion, resulting in an extension of the pipe's overall service life. This repair method is more efficient and cost-effective compared to trenching, removal, and replacement of failed sewer pipes.
