Sustainable Saturday is back this year! This year’s Sustainable Saturday event will be held on Saturday, March 19th from 9:00 a.m. to noon in Benedictine University’s Rice Center Parking Lot at 5700 College Road. This event is made possible through a partnership between the Village of Lisle, Benedictine University, DuPage County and SCARCE and provides an opportunity to recycle electronics, rechargeable and household batteries, bicycles, textiles, latex paint, household items, CFL bulbs, Styrofoam and more. TVs and monitors will be accepted for a fee of $25 - $35 depending on size. Participants will also be able to bring paper documents for shredding on site.

Participants must enter on Benedictine Drive off Maple Avenue, west of Benedictine University and follow the route through the campus to the drop-off in the Rice Parking Lot. The entrance off Maple Avenue is the ONLY entrance for use during Sustainable Saturday as there will be no access to the event from College Road. Please allow sufficient time for drop off. Due to anticipated large traffic volume, there may be periodic delays. Sustainable Saturday is held in lieu of a quarterly electronics recycling event in Downtown Lisle. Please come out and do something good for the planet – and your garage! To learn more about how to pay in advance, view a map of the location, COVID-19 precautions, and a list of all items accepted
