Village Releases Update on Flood-Relief Grants

Here’s some of what’s going on in and around Lisle for Tuesday, Aug. 20: 

·      From the Village newsletter: “The Village filed for $21 million… to obtain funds to help buy-out 102 Lisle properties affected by the recent flood and help fund the elevation of 25 other flood damaged properties. The State of Illinois received approximately $25 million to help flood victims. To date, the state has received nearly 100 grant requests, which total approximately $200 million. ·      Heaven on Seven next-door in Naperville are having a seven-course, eight-beer beer dinner on Tuesday night, starting at 7:00 p.m. Featuring Chicago’s Revolution Brewing, “the theme is 'Hopped Up' 
and we will be incorporating hops in the dishes.” It’s $50 per person plus tax and tip.

·      Oh, it is on! Lisle Park District seniors (50+) have been challenged to a Wii bowling tournament by Heritage Woods of Bolingbrook. The challenge is going down from 10:00 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the Senior Center (1925 Ohio Street.) We support our Lisle squad of Wiimove-wavers!
