Weekend: Saturday Home Game for Lisle's Red Stars

Here’s some of what’s going on in and around Lisle for the weekend of Aug. 2-4

·      The Lisle Slammers girls’ softball team open tryouts begin on Saturday at Lisle Community Park (1825 Short St., Lisle.) Check here for tryout times. The second tryout is on August 10t, and girls are encouraged to attend both!

·      The Chicago Red Stars women’s soccer club has a home game (at Benedictine University in Lisle) against Seattle Reign FC at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday night. More information is available at the Red Stars website.

·      Sunday is the “25th Annual Entrants Choice/Concours Bill Kay Chevrolet-Windy City Corvettes Show” starting at 9:00 a.m. at Bill Kay Chervrolet (601 Ogden Avenue Lisle). “Join us at Bill Kay Chevrolet for an all Corvette Car Show, hosted by Windy City Corvetes. Bring your pride and joy, or come and join the fun. There will be a DJ, food, vendors, 50/50, raffles, and fun for the entire family. All proceeds benefit Illinois Spina Bifida Association.”
