Yard Waste Collection Resumes March 23 In Lisle
Residents can leave yard waste for curbside collection March 23 through mid-December.
LISLE, IL — Yard waste collection is set to resume March 23 in Lisle, giving residents an opportunity to get rid of the debris they collect once they start spring cleaning. The service will be available until mid-December.
The following types of yard waste are eligible for collection:
- Grass clippings
- Garden trimmings
- Leaves
- Plants
- Flowers
- Vines
- Branches and brush less than 2 inches in diameter
- Food scraps including vegetables, egg shells, bread, dairy items, coffee grounds, cereal, pasta and grains
The above items can be placed in a biodegradable bag, a container rented from Lakeshore Recycling Systems or a container that is less than 35 gallons. Any container owned by a resident must be limited to 50 pounds of yard waste. Residents who use bags or containers must apply a refuse sticker.

Branches and brush that are less than four inches in diameter and four feet in length can be bundled for collection using rope or twine that is biodegradable. Bundles are limited to 50 pounds and must not be more than 18 inches in total diameter.
