Four suspects entered the fuel station and one, wearing a mask and gloves, removed a lottery scratch-off display full of tickets and exited the building. The four fled the area in a silver or gray Lincoln SUV. No one was injured during the theft, police said.
Peotone police learned the same suspects were linked to similar crimes in New Lenox, Matteson, and Chicago, using both a red pick-up truck and a Lincoln SUV. Detectives determined the vehicles used by the suspects were rented through an online service and identified the renter, according to police.
