Manhattan Township Historical Society hosts author Mr. Bill Mueller on August 20th at 6:30 pm.

Join the Manhattan Township Historical Society for an evening of humor and education when it hosts Mr. Bill Mueller on Tuesday, August 20th at 6:30 pm.
Mr. Mueller will share from his second book Time to Ship Another Steer, which will take an interesting look at growing up on the family farm in Kenosha, Wisconsin with ten brothers and sisters. He also has tips on family genealogy. The evening promises to be an enjoyable and entertaining event so please join us at the 255 S. State Street Museum. Bill graduated from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa and has been married to his wife Audrey for 39 years. Bill taught eighth grade government and history for 34 years. He retired after 31 years from Maquoketa, Iowa where he also coached wrestling. He is now in his 11th year teaching driver’s education at the Mississippi Bend AEA. He has many hobbies which include speaking, writing, reading, learning, visiting family and friends, bicycling, swimming, gardening, and solving sudoku and playing Schafkoph (Sheepshead) a German card game. Bill was also the recipient of the “Project Business Teacher of the Year” award from Junior Achievement of the Quad Cities and at that same ceremony was inducted into their Hall of Fame.
