Best Ice Cream Near Manhattan: Poll Results

MANHATTAN, IL — With National Ice Cream Day July 18, we asked Manhattan, Mokena, New Lenox and Frankfort readers to give their recommendations for the best place for ice cream in the area, and the results are in.

The Creamery — with locations at 525 W. North St. in Manhattan, 459 W. Nebraska St. in Frankfort, 918 Timber Place in New Lenox and 19100 Wolf Road in Mokena — was voted No. 1 in the area with 41 percent of the votes.

Coming in at No. 2 was Raffy's Candy store (25 percent of votes), with locations at 2571 E. Lincoln Highway in New Lenox and 21 S. White St. in Frankfort. And claiming the No. 3 spot was Ranch Frostie (13 percent of votes), 1259 N. Cedar Road in New Lenox.
