Costumed Characters, Heated Igloos Coming To Creamery In Manhattan
Captain Jack Sparrow will be the first to make an appearance at Creamery in Manhattan. He'll be followed by Spiderman, Queen Elsa and Santa.

MANHATTAN, IL — Children love ice cream. They also love their favorite characters from the world of Disney. So, Creamery in Manhattan decided to combine those two things for its Characters at the Creamery, a chance for children and their families to enjoy some ice cream while visiting with the fictional characters come to life.
Up first on the special guest list is Captain Jack Sparrow of "Pirates of the Caribbean" fame. He's scheduled to appear from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 30.
Next will be one of Marvel's most popular superheroes: Spiderman. He'll be swinging his way into town from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 13.

Characters at the Creamery's next special guests will right at home as the weather gets colder. Queen Elsa from "Frozen" will grace Creamery from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 26, and everyone's favorite jolly old elf, Santa Claus, will make an early stop from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 11.
The characters are provided by Princess Fairytale Parties, according to Creamery Event Coordinator Victoria Sisk.

"I don't know how much better it can get. We've got princesses and superheroes and ice cream," Sisk said. "It's kind of every kids' dream."
And for those looking for a different way to enjoy frozen treats and hot chocolate, Creamery will begin offering a heated igloo experience for the first time beginning Oct. 1, Sisk said.
Bookings for the heated igloos are already being accepted. There are two options to choose from: a sundae bar experience and a hot chocolate bar experience. Both come with a slew of goodies, so customers can choose which experience is best suited for them.
