Gas Price Update: Prices On The Decline Again Near Manhattan
Gas prices are down in Illinois, so before you fill up the tank, take a look at the lowest gas prices around Manhattan.
MANHATTAN, IL — Manhattan residents are getting a little relief at the pump with gas prices down from the previous week. The average price of gas in Illinois was at about $4.49 per gallon Sunday, according to AAA. That's down 2 cents from a week ago.
Nationally, the average Sunday was about $4.24 per gallon.
In Will County, gas prices were slightly under the state average on Sunday, at around $4.42 per gallon.

Even with this week's decline in price, the average for gas is still above what it was in Illinois last month, which was $3.85.
But, if you know where to look, you can find cheaper gas prices throughout Will County.

According to GasBuddy, the cheapest gas in Will County is selling for $4.19 at Costco, 16261 S. Boulevard Place in Plainfield. Here are some other places you can save around Manhattan:
- Murphy USA, 1481 Brook Forest in Joliet, $4.19.
- Sam's Club, 321 S. Larkin Ave. in Joliet, $4.19.
- Shell, 471 N. Nelson Road in New Lenox, $4.21.
