I-57 Lanes Reopen After Rollover Crash Near Peotone

PEOTONE, IL - All northbound lanes of Interstate 57 near Wilmington-Peotone Road were closed Friday morning after a rollover crash that has sent two people to area hospitals.

According to Illinois State Police, a car was headed south on I-57 near Harlem Avenue near milepost 331 when it crossed over the center median and turned into the northbound lanes. After crashing, both the driver and passenger sustained injuries and have been hospitalized.

Traffic was rerouted onto Wilmington-Peotone Road while the lanes remained closed.
