MANHATTAN, IL — An Elwood man wanted in connection with tipping over and damaging motorcycles outside a Manhattan bar late last month turned himself in Sunday, Manhattan Police Chief Ryan Gulli said.

Alex Pullara, 34, turned himself in at the Shorewood Police Department Sunday, Gulli said. He was picked up and taken to the Manhattan Police Department, where he was processed.

Police said Pullara has been identified as the person seen seated at the bar at Fritz's Saloon, 225 S. State St., and then again outside the bar, tipping over two motorcycles on July 31, police said. Police had also turned to social media for help identifying and finding the suspect. Ultimately, police were able to identify him through video surveillance images and help from the public, Gulli told Patch. An arrest warrant was issued for Pullara on Aug. 19.
