Manhattan D114 Closes Schools, Opts For E-Learning Ahead Of Storm
Manhattan District 114 schools will be closed Friday, with students shifting to e-learning.
MANHATTAN, IL — Manhattan District 114 has closed its schools for Friday, in anticipation of what's predicted to be a significant winter storm that could bring up to nine inches of snow with 50 mph wind gusts to the Chicago area.
The schools—Anna McDonald and Wilson Creek elementary, and Manhattan Jr. High—will instead shift to e-learning plans.
Other area schools have also opted to close and implement e-learning, including plans for the day. New Lenox District 122 and Providence Catholic High School.
