Proposals are due by Nov. 1. Interested parties must live within district boundaries.

MANHATTAN, IL — Manhattan School District 114 invites bids from qualified parties for agricultural leases at its District-owned site at the northwest Corner of Smith Road and Eastern Avenue.

Sealed bids must be in the form as outlined in the bid specifications, and must be received by Nov. 1, at 10 a.m. at the District Office located at 15646 W. Smith Road, Manhattan. Qualified parties must have their primary residence within the boundaries of Manhattan School District #114.

A complete proposal package may be obtained at the office of the Superintendent, 15646 W Smith Rd., between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. There is no charge for the package.

Bid opening will commence at 10 a.m. on Nov. 1. Bids received after the submittal time will be rejected and returned unopened to the sender. Bids (or modifications thereof) which are submitted in oral, telegraphic, telephonic, email facsimile or any other form will not be considered.

The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any informality; non-conformities, irregularities or defects in any or all bids and to accept that bid which in its opinion is in the best interest of the School District. Any such decision shall be considered final. All bids shall be deemed final, conclusive, and irrevocable, and once opened no bid shall be subject to correction or amendment for any error or miscalculation. No bid shall be withdrawn without the consent of the Board of Education after the scheduled closing time for the reception of the bids. All bids submitted shall be valid for a minimum of sixty (60) days after the date for the bid opening.
