Manhattan Firefighters Rescue Parrot Stuck In Tree
The parrot was successfully rescued and returned to its owner.
MANHATTAN, IL — Manhattan Fire Protection District crews assisted in an unusual rescue recently. Firefighters were called to assist with the rescue of a 20-year-old parrot who took flight and was stuck in a tree.
"Pipsqueak" the parrot was successfully retrieved and returned to his owner on May 22, the department said.
