Man, 63, ID'd As Drowning Victim Pulled From Kankakee River: Police

Fishermen found the body Saturday afternoon, police said.

KANKAKEE, IL — The Kankakee County Coroner's Office has identified the man whose body was pulled from the Kankakee River Saturday.

The body of Todd Banks, 63, was found by fishermen near the hydroelectric plant by the Kankakee River dam just before 1:30 p.m. Nov. 1, Kankakee Police Chief Christopher Kidwell confirmed.

Shaw Local is reporting the preliminary cause of death as drowning.
