Motorcyclist Ejected, Critically Injured In Crash With Car In Monee Township: Sheriff

The crash happened Thursday night at Pauling Road and Ridgeland Avenue, the Will County Sheriff's office said.

MONEE TOWNSHIP, IL — A motorcyclist was critically injured Thursday night in a crash with a car in Monee Township, the Will County Sheriff's Office said Friday morning.

On Oct. 2, at approximately 7:45 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the intersection of W. Pauling Road and S. Ridgeland Avenue in Monee Township, for a reported traffic crash with injuries. Deputies at the scene found a passenger vehicle with driver’s side damage and a motorcycle with significant damage.

Preliminary investigation indicates that the passenger vehicle was traveling southbound on S. Ridgeland Avenue while the motorcycle was traveling westbound on W. Pauling Road. The two vehicles collided in the intersection.

The motorcycle driver—identified only as a 62-year-old man—was ejected from the vehicle and transported to a local hospital in critical condition. The driver of the passenger vehicle declined medical transport.

This incident remains under active investigation by the Will County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit, with any potential citations or charges yet to be determined.
