83-Year-Old Man Killed By Amtrak Train In Manteno: Cops
Police said when emergency personnel arrived, Blogg was found deceased on the ground near the railroad crossing.
MANTENO, IL — An 83-year-old pedestrian was struck by an Amtrak train on Thursday afternoon in Manteno. Manteno Police said the incident happened at South Oak and Adams streets at 12:42 p.m.
The victim has been identified as Howard Blogg, 83, from Manteno. Police said when emergency personnel arrived, Blogg was found deceased on the ground near the railroad crossing.
Manteno Police Department, Manteno Fire Department and the Kankakee County Sheriff's Department responded to the incident.
