Street Parking Ban In Effect In Manhattan Until Snow Is Removed

The Village of Manhattan's street parking ban applies after 2 or more inches of snowfall occur.

MANHATTAN, IL — With snow beginning to come down in the area Thursday, the Village of Manhattan is reminding residents to keep streets clear of parked cars.

The Village of Manhattan prohibits street parking after 2 or more inches of snowfall until the snow has been removed by Village workers. The street parking ban is in effect regardless of time of day.

The Village of Manhattan posted a reminder Thursday on its Facebook page that arterial and main streets are plowed first; residential side streets, cul-de-sacs, alleys and dead ends are cleared next.
