MANHATTAN, IL — Winter weather advisories have been issued in anticipation of a winter storm on Wednesday, and some schools are calling it closed early Tuesday afternoon—including St. Joe's in Manhattan.

The National Weather Service said the heaviest snow will be between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Wednesday. Significant travel impacts are possible, especially during the Wednesday afternoon and evening commutes.

St. Joe's Fr. Mike McMahon wasn't so sure about the sixth grade at first, but everyone else got the good news around 2:45 p.m. No school, no e-learning, just a good old-fashioned snow day.
