2 Teens Wounded In Naperville Shooting, 1 In Critical Condition
Police said the Sunday afternoon shooting on Amerisale Drive was a "targeted" act, with a "transaction" among three people involved.
NAPERVILLE, IL — Two people were injured in a Sunday afternoon shooting in Naperville, police in the city have said.
The victims were shot when meeting with a third person to make a "transaction," Naperville police Commander Michaus Williams told Patch Sunday night, adding that the shooting remains a "fresh and active investigation."
The shooter fled the area of the 600 block of Amerisale Drive, near North Aurora Road, in a car after wounding the victims around 2:11 p.m., according to police.

Police "do not believe there is an active threat to the area at this time, as the initial investigation indicates this was a targeted act," the Naperville Police Department posted on Facebook.
One of the victims, an 18-year-old man from Naperville, was in critical condition as of Monday. The other, a 17-year-old man from Aurora, was hospitalized but has since been released.

The three people involved all agreed to make a "transaction" at the site of the shooting on Amerisale Drive, police confirmed.
Police later said the shooting resulted from a pre-arranged meeting that led to an altercation.
