3 Arrested And Charged Following Naperville Verizon Store Robbery
Multiple electronics were stolen from the Verizon Store on Showplace Drive Monday night.
At approximately 7:37 p.m. on Nov. 23, 2020, Naperville Police responded to the Verizon store located at 2720-106 Showplace Dr. reference a robbery where multiple electronics were taken.
Upon arrival, officers learned that the offenders had already fled the scene. A description of the suspects and their vehicle was provided to responding units. Naperville police officers located the suspect vehicle and attempted to stop it. The suspect vehicle failed to yield to the officers and fled the area at a high rate of speed. The suspect vehicle was later located by Aurora police officers in their jurisdiction, and three of the suspects were taken into custody. A large amount of proceeds was located by officers in the area where the three suspects were taken into custody. A fourth suspect remains at large. A description of this suspect is not currently available.

No weapon was observed or implied during this incident. One victim, a patron of the business, suffered minor injuries and was treated and released at the scene.

- Estevon D. Vargas, 18, of the 600 block of Hartford Ave. in Aurora, IL, was charged with one (1) felony count (Class 2) Robbery, in violation of 720 ILCS 5/18-1(a).
- Jaquarrie Garrett, 20, of the 1500 block Margaret Ave. in Grand Rapids, MI, charged with one (1) felony count (Class 2) Robbery, in violation of 720 ILCS 5/18-1(a).
- Suspect #3 - Juvenile, charged with one (1) felony count (Class 2) Robbery, in violation of 720 ILCS 5/18-1(a).
The Naperville Police wish to remind the public and the news media that a charge is merely an accusation, and a defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
