Charges Filed In April Shooting At Home In Naperville

NAPERVILLE, IL — A Chicago man faces felony charges in a shooting that took place in a home in Naperville in April.
Kanyon J. Hardy, 19, of Chicago, was charged with felony armed robbery in connection with the shooting.
Police were called to a home in the 2500 block of Leach Drive around 1:35 p.m. on April 16 for a report that a man, 22, had been shot in the leg. The man was taken to a nearby hospital and later recovered.

According to police, Hardy and a juvenile came to the home of the man, whom they knew, and stole cash. Hardy is accused of shooting the gun during the robbery, a news release said.
The juvenile had been charged with aggravated robbery with a firearm later that day. Hardy was arrested in Forest Park Wednesday.
