Construction Worker Killed In Naperville Crash: Police
The victim was a subcontractor working on a city project and was not breathing when officers arrived, according to police.
NAPERVILLE, IL — A construction worker from Addison was killed in a crash Monday while working in Naperville, according to police.
Authorities responded shortly after 10 a.m. to South Naper Boulevard and Heatherfield Circle after the worker was hit by a 2007 Kia Portage driven by a 74-year-old woman from Mazon, police said.
The victim was a subcontractor working on a city project and was not breathing when officers arrived, according to police. The 55-year-old man was taken to a hospital where he died, police said.

The area was closed to traffic until about 2:30 p.m., according to police.
“First and foremost, our sincere thoughts and condolences are with the family and loved ones of the individual who passed away,” City Manager Doug Krieger said in a news release. “The safety of our employees and contractors is our number one priority, and our focus now is on supporting our staff and our Police Department personnel as they conduct a thorough investigation into this tragedy.”
