Chicago Chamber Musicians Perform at NCC Jan.21

Chicago Chamber Musicians will present a powerful performance of classical works Jan. 21 in North Central College's acoustically stunning Wentz Concert Hall.

Chicago Chamber Musicians will present masterworks of the chamber canon, including Brahms monumental "Quintet in B minor" for clarinet and strings Op. 115, and Franck's Piano Quintet in F minor, Op. 14. Larry Combs, clarinetist and former principle clarinet of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, performs Franck's virtuosic work with the Chicago Chamber Musicians strings.

Grammy-nominated and named 2007 Chamber Ensemble of the Year by the Illinois Council of Orchestras, Chicago Chamber Musicians has toured extensively and has developed an international reputation for fresh, intimate and nuanced performances by musicians who consistently work together as an ensemble.
