Kite experts from Chicago Kite and the Illinois Kite Enthusiasts Club will bring their colorful fleet of kites to Naperville’s Frontier Sports Complex on Sunday, June 5 for the Naperville Park District’s 5th Annual Kite Festival.
This free festival provides something for everyone. Kite-flying lessons from the pros, a family kite-flying area, single-line flying, and amazing stunts offer the full range of kite-flying experience for those who want to participate and those who just enjoy watching. An entertainment stage will feature a performance by the Naperville Park District’s Concert Dance Ensemble, and shows by musicians David Byron and Andrew Huber. Children can enjoy unlimited play in the inflatable area for $5.
“Children and parents alike will be amazed to see the colorful, unusual kites fill the sky at this festival,” said Lourdes Nicholls of Chicago Parent. “It’s a free, low-key event for families and is easily accessible by car with plenty of free parking.” Chicago Parent is the promotional partner for the Kite Festival, which also is sponsored by Naperville Convention and Visitors Bureau, First Family Dental, and T-Mobile Communications.
