Free flights in general aviation aircraft for children ages 8 thru 17, will be offered at a Young Eagles event, at the Aurora Municipal Airport, in Sugar Grove, Illinois. The flights will be between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on May 22.
All children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian in order to sign in. No reservations are needed. First come, first serve.
The flights are sponsored by the Fox Valley Sport Aviation Association, EAA Chapter 579. Each pilot covers the cost of the flights individually in the hope they can help broaden a child’s horizons, and perhaps inspire them to take an interest in aviation.
