Family Escapes Fire In Home On Willow Ridge Drive

NAPERVILLE, IL — A family of four safely escaped a fire that caused $800,000 in damage to a home in the 2700 block of Willow Ridge Drive early Tuesday.

Firefighters were called to the scene just after 3:45 a.m. and arrived to find a "heavy amount of fire" showing from the rear of the home and going into the attic. Crews worked for about 90 minutes to extinguish the blaze and ensure it did not spread to other buildings nearby.

No one was hurt in the fire, which left the home uninhabitable. The cause of the incident is still under investigation.
