Fire Department Extinguishes Structure Fire In 1200 Block Of Cobblestone Court
There were no injuries to any occupants or firefighters while operating on scene.
NAPERVILLE, Ill. — At 4:38 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 16, Naperville’s Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) received a call for a structure fire at a two-story, wood frame, single-family residence located in the 1200 block of Cobblestone Court. Naperville 911(PSAP) dispatched a general alarm assignment consisting of 10 pieces of fire apparatus and 24 personnel, including an Incident Commander and Incident Safety Officer, to the reported address.
At 4:45 p.m., Truck 10 arrived and identified smoke showing from the attached garage of the two-story home. Truck 10 established incident command and conducted a 360-degree survey of the home. Truck 10 identified a small fire in the wall of the garage and companies quickly extinguished the flames. Primary and secondary searches were conducted. All nine occupants, including four adults and five children, were found to be out of the house prior to the arrival of fire department personnel. Companies on scene conducted overhaul and ventilation to expose any areas of high heat and remove smoke from the home. The fire, which started on the exterior of the attached garage, extended into the garage and basement of the home, with minor damage noted by crews.

The Naperville Fire Department was assisted on the scene by the Naperville Police Department. Station Coverage was provided by the Plainfield Fire Protection District, the Bolingbrook Fire Department and the Oswego Fire Protection District. The cause of the fire was found to be from the burning of weeds against the rear of the garage. There were no injuries to any occupants or firefighters while operating on scene. The building was deemed to be habitable, and the Naperville Transportation, Engineering, and Development Team was notified.
