Man Robbed at Gunpoint Early Monday

Store clerk carrying cash receipts reportedly robbed in parking lot.

An employee at Extra Value Liquors, 1550 N. Route 59, was robbed at gunpoint early Monday morning, according to a news release from the Naperville Police Department.

The employee was reportedly robbed around 1:30 a.m. while walking to his vehicle in the store's parking lot. An undisclosed amount of money from liquor store was taken during the robbery, according to the release.

According to the report, an older blue Chevy Caprice pulled up and a man got out with a handgun, robbing the employee of the cash receipts. The vehicle had two people inside; one was described as about 5-foot-11 and weighing about 200 pounds, wearing a dark hoodie sweatshirt and possibly a nylon ski mask. The vehicle fled eastbound from the location, the report said.
