Police Blotter: Fight Over Cell Phone, Forged Prescription, More

The Naperville Police Department reports for Sept. 23-25.

Friday, Sept. 23

Warrant arrest

  • Andre Pierre Norris, 18, of the 1600 block of Coach Drive, was arrested at 5:15 p.m. in the 400 block of South Main Street on a failure-to-appear warrant, police said. His bail was $1,000.
  • Zane Ronald Krienitz, 20, of the 900 block of North Brainard Street, was arrested at 11:56 p.m. at East Bailey Road and South Washington Street on two outstanding warrants. His bail was $10,000.
  • Shaun Donald Springer, 19, of the 1400 block of Druid Hills Court, was arrested at 11:30 a.m. the on an outstanding warrant for possession of a controlled substance, police said.

Robbery

Laroyce L. Franklin, 21, of the 900 block of Benedetti Drive, was arrested at 12:30 p.m. at the Cook County Jail in Chicago where he was charged on warrants for two counts of robbery, police said. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Driving under the influence

  • Julia Alexandria Melehan, 27, of the 2300 block of Twilight Drive, Aurora, was arrested at 11:53 p.m. at South Route 59 and Ogden Avenue on two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding and disobeying a traffic-control device, according to police. Her bond was $100.
  • Billy Harrison Brown, 44, of the 500 block of West Walker Road, Plainfield, was arrested at 11:32 p.m. at South Route 59 and Cantore Road, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding, driving without a license and illegal possession/transportation of liquor by a driver. His bail was $3,000.

 Battery

  • Candice Corrine Cotton, 23, of the 400 block of East Galena Boulevard, Aurora, was arrested at 12:26 a.m. at the , on charges of battery, battery with the intent to commit bodily harm, improper lane use, driving without insurance and failure to reduce speed. Her bail was $1,500.
  • Artivas Devan Gladney, 35, of the 400 block of East Galena Avenue, Aurora, was arrested at 1:32 a.m. at the on charges of battery and battery with intent to commit bodily harm, police said. His bail was $1,500. A missing cell phone was the impetus for a car chase involving two couples that ended in the front of the police department, where a fight ensued and Cotton and Gladney were arrested.

Interfering with an officer

James Robert Raymond, 26, of the 100 block of Testa Drive was arrested at home at 4:57 p.m. on charges of resisting a peace officer, interfering with domestic reporting and other charges, police said. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Child pornography

David Andrew Denoftrio, 38, of the 1300 block of Modaff Road, was arrested at 1:05 p.m. at his home on charges of child pornography and aggravated child pornography. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Saturday, Sept. 24

Driving under the influence

  • Johnathon Michael David, 24, of the 1600 block of Country Lakes Drive, was arrested at 2:14 a.m. at an unknown location on two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without insurance and reckless driving, police said. His bond was $100.
  • Dmitriy Stefan Pugach, 34, of the 1500 block of Raymond Drive, was arrested at 11:48 p.m. at his home on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving on a suspended/revoked license, illegal possession/transport of liquor and failing to notify about damage to an unattended vehicle. His bail was $3,000.
  • Steven Lawrence Tubman, 33, of the 15000 block of Wood Farm Road, Plainfield, was arrested at 2:14 a.m. in the 2900 block of 95th Street and South Route 59 on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding and improper lane use. His bond was $100.

Driving without insurance

Felipe Manqueroz, 43, of the 600 block of Nelson, Romeoville, was arrested at 1:11 p.m. at West 87th Street and Modaff Road on charges of driving on a suspended/revoked license, operating without insurance, no valid registration, and two counts of driving without driver and passenger safety belts. His bond was $200.

Forgery

Robert Sidney Earl, 21, of the 500 block of Scott Lane, Romeoville, was arrested at 11:20 p.m. in the 60 block of West 87th Street on charges of resisting an officer, unlawful acquisition of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a prescription form and forgery, police said. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Sunday, Sept. 25

Criminal damage

Steven Thomas Bus, 19, of the 2100 block of Countryside Circle, was arrested at 2:59 a.m. at his home on charges of criminal damage to property and obstructing justice, police said. His bail was $1,500.

Unlawful use of a weapon

David Todd Borum, 21, of the 300 block of Highview Avenue, Elmhurst, was arrested in the 700 block of South Route 59 on a charge of unlawful use of weapons, police said. His bail was $1,500.

Retail theft

Stephen Leonard Najfus, 25, of the 20 block of W 306 Hoy Avenue, Warrenville, was arrested at 6:14 p.m. in the 700 block of South Route 59 on a charge of retail theft. His bail was $1,500.

Driving under the influence

  • Dorina Peci, 32, of the 9400 block of South Trumbull Avenue, Evergreen Park, was arrested at 3:21 a.m. at West 75th Street and Book Road on two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, operating a vehicle without insurance and disobeying a traffic-control device.
  • Francisco Javier Torres, 20, of the 1400 block of Fairway Drive, was arrested at 4:25 a.m. in the 1500 block of Fairway Drive on two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal possession/transportation of liquor and other charges. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • Robert Joseph McDonald, 29, of the 600 block of Hidden Creek Lane, North Aurora, was arrested at 12:51 a.m. at 79th Street and South Route 59 on two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to give a signal, illegal lane use, operating without insurance and speeding. His bail was $3,000.

Possession

Craig Samuel Wandolowski, 19, of the 400 block of Glen Echo Road, was arrested at 12:17 a.m. in the 400 block of Quail Drive on charges of possession of cannabis and failure to give the right of way to an emergency vehicle, police said. His bond was $120.

Warrant arrest

Rogelio Desantiago, 24, of the 100 block of Testa Drive, was arrested at 11:22 p.m. in the 100 block of Testa Drive and charged on a failure-to-appear warrant. His bail was $1,000, police said.
