Police Blotter: Warrant Arrest, Excessive Speeding

Excessive speeding

Michael Brian Malinowski 18, of the 100 block of Highview Drive, Yorkville, was arrested at 10:48 p.m. at W. Ogden Avenue and S. Route 59 and he was charged with driving at least 40 mph over the speed limit, police said. His bail was set at $2,000.

Warrant arrest

Chad Allen Duffield, 38, of the 1800 block of 7thStreet, East Moline, Ill., was arrested at 3:37 p.m. at the 0 block of Meridian Parkway and N. Route 59 in Aurora, police said. He was charged on a warrant and with driving on a suspended/revoked license. His bail is $10,100.

Vehicle burglarized

A 42-year-old man in the 2000 block of Springside Drive reported that between 10 p.m. Sunday and 6:30 a.m. Monday, vehicles that were left unlocked were burglarized, police said. The loss was estimated at more than $3,000.

A 51-year-old man in the 3500 block of Stackinghay Drive reported Monday that between 9 p.m. July 10 and 7 a.m. July 11 a vehicle was entered and Ray Ban prescription sunglasses and a BlackBerry charger were taken, police said.

A 53-year-old man in the 200 block of Cedarbrook Road reported that between 10 p.m. Sunday and 5:30 a.m. Monday his vehicle’s door was pried open and $33 worth of baking material was taken, police said. A second vehicle was ransacked but nothing was taken.

A 58-year-old woman in the 2100 block of 95th Street reported at 6 p.m. that a thief broke the driver’s side window of her vehicle and stole her purse and its contents while her vehicle was parked in the YMCA lot, police said.
